McDermott & Bull Announces the Appointment of Christopher Haywood as Associate Principal Consultant

IRVINE, LOS ANGELES, WESTLAKE VILLAGE, and PLEASANTON, California, August 16, 2010 – McDermott & Bull, a Southern California-based executive search firm, announces that Mr. Christopher Haywood has joined the firm as an Associate Principal Consultant. Mr. Haywood will be working with companies throughout the West Coast and will be based in the firm’s Irvine and Los Angeles offices.

Prior to joining McDermott & Bull, Mr. Haywood was a Managing Consultant with Harvard Group International, a retained executive search firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. His personal executive search experience includes work in both private and public companies, often searching for CFO, COO, and senior financial roles for private equity portfolio firms. He was significantly involved not only in advancing Harvard Group’s Diversity Recruiting Practice, but also in growing their West Coast relationships. Before working for Harvard Group, Mr. Haywood was a business consultant in both Strategy and IT groups at Accenture, for the Financial Services, Communications, and High Tech Practices.

Mr. Haywood earned his MBA, with a focus on both Finance and Entrepreneurship, from the UCLA Anderson School of Business. He also received his Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia.

McDermott & Bull and Client M2 Renewables Announce the Placement of Gerhard Forstner as Chief Executive Officer

IRVINE, LOS ANGELES, PLEASANTON, and WESTLAKE VILLAGE, California, August 9, 2010 – McDermott & Bull, a Southern California-based executive search firm, announced today the successful appointment of Mr. Gerhard Forstner as Chief Executive Officer for M2 Renewables (formerly MicroMedia Filtration) in Lake Forest, California.

“Combining extensive technical and financial knowledge with domestic and international experience, Gerhard is full of charisma, energy, and a strong sense of leadership. With over twenty years of know-how, Gerhard is a great fit for M2 Renewables. Prior to joining M2 Renewables, Mr. Forstner was working at Huber Technology Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina, a subsidiary of Huber SE, for several years as a Regional Sales Manager and eventually as President. As President, he reported directly to the Board of Directors and established a 5-year strategic plan and implemented several company wide programs. Before Huber Technology, Mr. Forstner was the Engineering Manager for American Monforts Corporation, a subsidiary of A. Monforts Textilmaschinen GmbH. There he applied extensive technical and financial knowledge to successfully manage several turnkey textile machinery projects.

Mr. Forstner received his Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the Technical College for Engineering in Kapfenberg, Austria. He also received a Masters of Business Administration from Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina.

McDermott & Bull Announces the Appointment of Meiko Takayama as Principal Consultant to Represent the Firm in its new Century City Office

IRVINE, LOS ANGELES, WESTLAKE VILLAGE, and PLEASANTON, CA, August 2, 2010 – McDermott & Bull Executive Search, a California-based retained executive search firm, is pleased to announce the opening of its office in Century City, California, and that it has named Ms. Meiko Takayama to the position of Principal Consultant. Ms. Takayama will be responsible for opening the firm’s Century City office and continuing to build McDermott & Bull’s practice in Los Angeles and throughout California.

Ms. Takayama has also been a leading fundraising executive and has worked at the Museum of Modern Art and Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

Ms. Takayama earned her Bachelor of Arts in History of Art from Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
